Every month we LOVE to spotlight ONE member who (as a team) we vote has seen the most changes (mentally & physically), has been the most consistent w/ their workouts, and who adds tremendous value to the Body T community…

This month Sonia was that STAND OUT member… (she attended 29 workouts in July!)

While we have sooo many dedicated and AMAZING members in the Body T community… Sonia stood out to us in July because of her discipline and consistency w/ her fitness and nutrition. Her positive outlook towards her own accomplishments is contagious and has spread throughout our gym.

We are super grateful to have Sonia as a member of the BT family and wanted you to hear her story from her.

Q. What is your favorite inspirational quote?

I have many inspirational quotes, but if I where to choose one it would have to be , “Strength doesn’t come from what you can do, it comes from overcoming the things you ONCE thought you couldn’t” by Rikki Rogers.

Q: What are your personal health and fitness goals?

My personal health and fitness goals since day one, is to make lifestyle changes in order to live an overall healthy life. From eating clean and in moderation, to working out daily and not giving into temptation. I have lost weight, body fat % resulting in a leaner/toned body. I have to say that the best gratification out of all my results combined, is becoming a positive example to my kids, my husband, my family. I have Body T to thank for that.

Q: What ONE thing keeps you most focused and motivated to continue to work hard to reach your goals?

My health, everything else falls into place.

Q: Can you tell us a little bit about yourself and how you got started with us?

Growing up in a family with a majority of health issues and health risks, I reached a point in life in which I was in that same stance. As a teenager, I remember making a promise that I was not going to allow myself go through that same path nor was I going to allow my family suffer based on my actions. Easier said than done right?!

Well, I had to put on my big girl pants, put all excuses aside and make executions happen. That’s when I began my research and found Body T to fit my needs. I have to say that it has been the best choice I have made.

Q: How has Body Therapeutix made a difference in your life?

I have gained the tools to improve, challenge myself and strive for more. A long term goal is something I have learned by completing all of my short term goals, ( something Body T always makes sure to have for everyone willing to accomplish). Through Body T’s challenges. I have not only become healthier, but knowledgeable in what it takes to be 1% better each passing day.

Q: What kinds of milestones have you accomplished and what specific results have you achieved so far?

I WAS a HUGE cake/ sweets lover. To be a little bit more specific – I could eat a whole box of cake or pastries to myself in one shot!! Yes, this is not normal, I agree, but my taste buds differ at the time. I Have learned to have self control, something that I obviously didn’t have before. Let me tell you that it was easier said than done! – This is a great example of the short term goal I set for myself. This was my milestone, I would’ve never thought I could say NO to cake, cookies, pastries.

Lets get things clear now, I do splurge from time to time – eating a small piece of sweet and STOPPING there.

Through this accomplished short term goal, I have not only learned to have self control – but to have full control in what I eat and drink. This resulted in a healthy weight and body fat loss. Of course, I wouldn’t have been able to accomplish these results without the in going support, motivation and challenges that Body T provides.

Q: What is your “word” of the year?!

Persistence! – This is all it takes!

Q. What made you decide to want to join Body Therapeutix?

From Body T’s schedule, mentoring, meal plans and the trainers on sight making sure you’re giving it all you’ve got. All the tools at hands reach, in order to accomplish your goals. And for this reason I believed/ believe Body T genuinely and aggressively cares for your goals just as much as you do. They see your potential when you least see it in yourself.

Q. What kinds of results have you achieved so far?

I have achieved the results I was not able to achieve anywhere else. I have lost 6% body fat and 12 pounds in total. I look toned, and feel so much healthier. I love that I don’t feel like I’m gasping for air after climbing two flights of stairs. I cannot stress enough how I wouldn’t have been able to accomplish any of this on my own. The great level of support from the Body T team/family provides, is by far the best I have experienced.

Q. What would you say to someone on the fence about making a change & committing to their goals?

If you’re thinking about it, you’re not doing it, so just do it!! I have never been a witness to someone regretting goals being accomplished. The best investment someone can ever make is on bettering themselves.
